STUDIO CENTRAL SOUND

Studio Central Sound is a next-generation music and immersive audio recording facility opening in early 2026 in Syracuse, New York. Launched as a major expansion of the Studio Central ecosystem, Studio Central Sound builds on the foundation of Studio Central Post, alongside Five Peaks Animation, Studio Central Next (AI), and additional creative divisions, all housed within a 30,000-square-foot campus dedicated to innovation across music, film, television, and emerging media.

Designed by acclaimed studio designer Pascal Pahl of Accessible Audio Solutions, Studio Central Sound features meticulously planned recording and mix environments, premium analog and digital signal paths, and world-class amenities. The facility includes Studio A, a 600-square-foot multi-room tracking space anchored by a Harrison console and extensive outboard gear for full-band recording and complex production workflows, and Stage B, a 450-square-foot immersive mix and mastering room supporting Dolby Atmos®, Sony 360 Reality Audio, AURO-3D®, and Apple Spatial Audio. Stage B is equipped with a PMC 9.1.4 immersive monitoring system, a custom console designed by iconic audio innovator Paul Wolff, and advanced Dante and Ravenna networking, with Pro Tools® and Pyramix® workflows powered by Avid MTRX II and Merging Horus/Anubis systems.

Studio Central Sound operates under the leadership of Robert Dehn, Director of Post-Production at Studio Central Post, who has been instrumental in attracting major clients such as Live Nation and Disney/Hulu while supporting regional productions and creative talent in Central New York. The facility also serves as a home base for Proper Prent Sound, led by Grammy Award–winning mastering engineer Darcy Proper and immersive audio pioneer Ronald Prent, reinforcing Studio Central Sound’s position as a destination for world-class music production, immersive mixing, and mastering. Together, Studio Central Sound and the expanded Studio Central campus represent a bold commitment to immersive storytelling, technical excellence, and the future of professional audio production.
