International country artist Omer Netzeris set to release his new single, “Don’t Ask Me,” on June 12, following his performance at CMA Fest 2026 on the new Wrangler Remix Stage. The emotionally-charged track serves as the first release from his upcoming EP, expected later this fall.
The debut release for 2026 follows a breakout year for the Nashville-based artist, who continues to build momentum across the country and Americana landscapes with over 10 million streams, 17 million views, and three international terrestrial radio #1s. Netzer’s debut Nashville EP, OMER, introduced listeners to his signature blend of country, blues, and soul-driven storytelling through six deeply personal tracks. The project’s breakout single, “Midnight Blue,” peaked at No. 63 on the MusicRow Country Breakout Chart and spent more than 18 consecutive weeks on Apple Music Country’s Country Roads playlist.
Now, Netzer returns with “Don’t Ask Me,” a deeply personal track centered around heartbreak, loss, and the emotional aftermath of a recently concluded relationship. Penned by Jake Hess, Kenny Sharp, David “Messy” Mescon, and Netzer, the song leans into raw honesty and cinematic storytelling while showcasing one of Netzer’s most vulnerable vocal performances to date.
Built around haunting lines like “I love you to death / And I ain’t afraid to die” and “Girl I ain’t been living since you left my life,” the song captures the silence, confusion, and quiet devastation that follows when life changes overnight. Rather than masking the pain, “Don’t Ask Me” allows the emotion and truth of the story to speak for itself.
“What can heal a heart that’s been shattered? For me, it’s music,” says Netzer. “Every line in this song is a piece of the truth I carry, a way to breathe when the world gets heavy.”
Produced by David “Messy” Mescon, whose credits include co-writing Megan Moroney’s recent chart topper, “6 Months Later,” as well as Dasha, Tigirlily Gold, Ariana Grande, and Kendrick Lamar. The track continues to establish Netzer’s identity within Nashville’s alternative country and Americana scenes while staying rooted in the soulful country-blues sound Netzer’s fans have come to know and love.
Since relocating to Nashville, Omer has steadily gained attention through major live performances, songwriting collaborations, and growing visibility across the industry, including Nashville appearances at Whiskey Jam and CMA Fest. His upcoming Wrangler Remix Stage performance during CMA Fest adds another milestone to a breakout run that continues to build momentum heading into the release of new music this year. “Don’t Ask Me” will be available everywhere on June 12 and is available for pre-save now.
