Highway Wolf Unleashes the Funk in New “Werewolves of London” Video
San Francisco, CA | November 13, 2025 — Bay Area’s unique musical project Highway Wolf has released their official music video for a reimagined take on Warren Zevon’s classic “Werewolves of London.” The new video transforms the timeless rock anthem into a wildly cinematic experience, blending funky energy with the signature wit and groove that define Highway Wolf’s sound.
Created by California-based visual artist Josh Clark, this marks his fourth collaboration with Highway Wolf, following acclaimed videos for “Back in the High Life,” “Silver Springs,” and “In the City.” The video stars the band’s beloved pup-turned-werewolf, Purdie, strutting through the foggy, moonlit streets of London. The video captures the playful mischief and sly humor that Highway Wolf adds to Zevon’s original, equal parts eerie and irresistible.
“We wanted to capture the spirit of Zevon’s song in a way that felt true to the Highway Wolf world, part classic, part transformational,” shares Mick Hellman. “We had a blast creating something that’s both tongue-in-cheek and totally musical. The video’s all about that push and pull between the mysterious and the fun, like dancing with your own shadow under a full moon.”
Highway Wolf’s upcoming sophomore EP, set for release in 2026, will expand on the reimagined classics introduced in Purdie’s Dream and showcase the band’s first original track. “Werewolves of London” offers a tantalizing glimpse of what’s to come, bridging nostalgia, humor, and artistry into a singularly groovy, genre-defying ride.
