Highway Wolf and Guardians of the Wolves: Together Protecting and Advocating for Wolves

San Francisco, CA, May, 12 2025… — Highway Wolf is proud to feature Guardians of the Wolves, a nonprofit founded by Lori Wynn in 2014, focused on rescuing, rehabilitating, and advocating for wolves and wolfdogs across the country.

Guardians of the Wolves has rescued over 1,000 wolfdogs, many from shelters, hoarding situations, and abuse. The nonprofit also offers educational and therapeutic programs, helping at-risk youth, veterans, and survivors of trauma. Their ambassador, Rosemary, a high-content wolfdog born in 2021, continues the legacy of educating the public and providing emotional support. Lori Wynn and her team also advocate for wildlife legislation, they specifically played a pivotal role in securing statewide protection for the California Grey Wolf and supporting national bills like the Trinity Act, which seeks permanent protection for wolves, bison, and grizzly bears.

Highway Wolf is donating 100% of proceeds from purchases of the “Protect the Pack” Spotlight T-Shirt to Guardians of the Wolves. “We’ve always believed that the protection of wolves and wolfdogs requires more than just awareness—it takes real, meaningful action,” said Mick Hellman, co-founder of Highway Wolf. “The Guardians of the Wolves team, led by Lori, are not only rescuing these incredible animals, but they’re changing hearts and minds across the country. We’re deeply honored to collaborate with them to amplify their efforts and continue pushing for legislative change that will help ensure these animals are protected for generations to come.”
